Audrey Kathleen Ruston

Better known as Audrey Hepburn and born on this day in 1929, she had a career that spanned nearly forty years. She collected many awards for her memorable acting abilities, including a Henrietta Award in 1955 for World's Favourite Actress.

As an appointed Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) she dedicated the rest of her life helping children growing up in poverty. One month before her death, in December 1992, she won a Presidential Medal of Freedom for her work with UNICEF.

Hepburn died of abdominal cancer in January 1993 in Switzerland, but until the end was voted 'The Most Beautiful Woman of All Time' and she will, in my mind live on as that.

Tea Appreciation Society

TEA - DEFINITION FROM WIKIPEDIA.ORG
"Tea is a beverage made by steeping processed leaves, buds, or twigs of the tea bush (Camellia sinensis) in hot water for a few minutes. The processing can include oxidation, heating, drying, and the addition of other herbs, flowers, spices, and fruits.

There are four basic types of true tea: black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and white tea. The term "herbal tea" usually refers to infusions of fruit or of herbs (such as rosehip, chamomile, or jiaogulan) that contain no C. sinensis.[1] (Alternative terms for herbal tea that avoid the word "tea" are tisane and herbal infusion.) This article is concerned exclusively with preparations and uses of the tea plant C. sinensis.

Tea is a natural source of the amino acid theanine, methylxanthines such as caffeine and theobromine,[2] and polyphenolic antioxidant catechins[3]. It has almost no carbohydrates, fat, or protein. It has a cooling, mildly fragrant, slightly bitter, and astringent flavor."

I love tea, it's not a secret. So when I found this site I thought it was ace. Not only does it celebrate the wonder that is tea, it also features music, photography and design!
